The Annual Christmas Market (ACM) is hosted by Kirkwood together with a few other Bradenton churches. Initiated in 1996, the Christmas Market give an opportunity for the community to meet and find out more about local charities and non-profits, and purchase special "gifts" that will help aid the organizations. The 22nd Annual Christmas Market will be on Saturday, November 11, 2017.
Each year, several non-profit groups are invited to participate and to provide Christmas giving opportunities, which also support their work. This special concept of giving is a response to the commercialization of Christmas. A gift through the ACM will not only honor a family member or friend, but will also assist the selected non-profit group financially. Many of the non-profit organizations in the community as well as mission projects such as Heifer International are included in this event. Many of the participating organizations provide tangible gifts in exchange for donations. The non-profit Market booth providers benefit not only from all monetary donations designated for their organization, but also get the opportunities to increase public awareness of their mission work and recruit new volunteers. Since the inception of our Annual Christmas Market (formerly Alternative Christmas Market), we have raised over $135,000 for the participating organizations. Your ACM Coordinator is Carolyn Roskamp.
