Rev. Dr. Hope LEe

Hope doesn't know how to cook. Sometimes she gets really frustrated when people drive super slow in the left lane. She's a believer in the 5-second rule. Hope is a real person who happens to really love Jesus Christ and has a heart for all the people He loves -- which includes YOU! Easy to talk to and easy to get to know, Hope is truly a Florida pastor --- laid back, casual, and flexible. Although she grew up in Maryland, she graduated from Eckerd College (right up the road in St. Petersburg, FL) and holds a Doctor of Ministry degree in homiletics (that's just a fancy word for preachin') from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. She's served pastorates on Amelia Island and in King of Prussia, PA, but spent the years before that leading youth ministry programs in St. Pete, Wimauma, Tampa, Roswell, GA, and as a campus minister at Georgia Tech. Hope came to know Christ personally through the ministry of the Beth-El Farmworker's Mission in Wimauma, FL where she recently served on their Board of Directors as President of the Board. As a result, Hope has a real love for the work and ministry of the Mission and for the immigrants that it serves. The scripture that defines her life is Romans 1:16 : "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel, for it holds the power of salvation for all who believe." Hope has a deep passion for the local church. She believes that we are the face of Christ to the neighborhood and that God has already equipped us with all that we need to live out His mission and vision for the people of Bradenton and the world. Hope was the opening preacher for the Covenanting Conference of the Fellowship of Presbyterians in Orlando, FL. She has also been the keynote speaker for the Alabama State Collegiate Conference, the Trinity Youth Conference in Traveler's Rest, SC, Renewal by the Lake in Juneau, AK, a program speaker at the New Wilmington Mission Conference, and she is often asked to speak at conferences and workshops all over the United States. She serves as an Evangelism Coach on behalf of the National Office of Evangelism & Church Growth. She is wife to Sung, and mom to Anna, Peter, and Maria. Hope is a long-suffering fan of both the Baltimore Orioles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! She also has seen such classic films as "Wreck It Ralph" and "Happy Feet 2" so many, many, many times, that she can almost quote them verbatim...in her sleep! Just last year, Hope got to watch an actual television show for adults called "This is Us," which she enjoyed tremendously! Hope would love to chat with you about life, love, Jesus, or anything you want...except the Florida Gators! Contact Hope at hope@kpcbradenton.org or 794-6229
